Artist Biography
From the first moment I picked up a paintbrush, the world seemed to transform before my eyes. Art has always been more than a pastime or profession—it’s the language through which I see, understand, and celebrate life. My creative journey has carried me through the visual and performing arts, shaping both my work as an educator and my identity as an artist.
Much of my artwork is inspired by the natural world—the quiet beauty of a forest, the shifting colors of the seasons, and the interplay of light after a passing rain. Whether expressed through painting or stained glass, my goal is to capture those fleeting moments that invite reflection and stir emotion. Each piece is a dialogue between color, light, and atmosphere—a way to share how I experience the world.

Holidays in Minster
Oil on Canvas 18 x 24 Inches
Inspired while driving by the Wooden Shoe Restaurant, (shown on the right), on a snowy evening in December and seeing the joyful patrons coming and going. This scene was highlighted by the beautiful sky and atmosphere and the Christmas lights.
It brought a sense of peace and holiday spirit that has always been special during the Holidays.

The University of Dayton Chapel, with its distinctive bright blue dome, is a well-known landmark for many students and faculty members. I have painted the U.D. Chapel using a variety of media and have prints available on fine art paper, ceramic tiles, and slate tiles.

St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, Ohio.
Oil on stretched canvas 24" x 36"
This painting was inspired while riding a bike in the fall of 2023. The back of the church was backlit by the bright orange and yellow setting sun in the west with the sun reflecting off the church windows.
